Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
The Medical Journal of Public Health (MJPH) is dedicated to upholding the greatest ethical publishing and research practices. This policy stipulates the duties of the authors, reviewers, and editors in ensuring that all the published work must be precise, transparent and credible.
Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must ensure that:
- The paper is unique and it is not submitted in other places.
- The reporting of data and results is honest and accurate.
- We have cited all of the sources to prevent plagiarism.
- Authors are also given as only true contributors.
- There are no hidden sources of funding and conflicts of interest.
- Scientific work involving human being or animals adheres to acceptable ethics.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
- Maintain secrets of manuscripts.
- Give constructive and fair feedback.
- State conflicts of interest.
- Full reviews in the specified duration.
Editors are responsible for, among others, ensuring the content is updated and complies with all rules and regulations of the publishing organization.
Only academic merit and relevance form the basis of publication decisions made by editors. They keep the secrets, make sure that the review process is without bias and act in case ethical issues are discovered.
Handling Misconduct
MJPH may research the matter in case of plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicated publication, or other unethical activity and implement the required measures, including rejection, correction, or article retraction.
The published practices will ensure that the Medical Journal of Public Health is a fair and responsible publication environment that safeguards the integrity of the scholarly research.
